Urgent!
Pace's ear has an odor coming out of it and I need you mothers to tell me what it is? Has any of your kids had this before? I am hoping that he doesn't have an ear infection and that it will go away on its own. He hasn't had a fever yet. He has had a cold and has had it off and on with the side affects from his reflux. We have tried olive oil, rubbing vinegar and water around by the eardrum. If any of you have any other ideas please let me know. Thanks!

An odor isn't a great sign. He isn't always going to have fever with an infection. I have had plenty of patients who have had infections without having the pain and fever. Hope this helps.

hey try peroxide. Anytime any of us get any sort of ear problem we drop peroxide in it and it bubbles (like when you pour it on a cut) when its infected. It feels good when you do it and really does work. good luck!
Every time my kids have had odor in there ear they've had a infection. I would have him checked.
